I'm making reindeer ornaments for the Handicrafters group at church! These are really cute because the head is made with a wine cork...just add pipe cleaner antlers, googly eyes, a red nose and a bow and you have Rudolph! I think I have made about 15 so far, I think I have about 15-20 more to make...

for sale...
My neighbor and I have started making some stuff with our scrap supplies that we are going to either a)sell to whomever sees them and wants them b)save them until November for the craft show and sell them at a booth there. Either way, I'm going to post the stuff we make here and if anyone wants them or interested in something similar, let me know. Otherwise, they will go in the craft show box :)
Most of these items are used with extra scrapbook supplies, mostly scraps and stuff we are trying to use up.
The first item is a mini scrapbook album made on thick chip board pages...covered with travel themed paper and cut-outs from the Cricut cartridge "Going Places". This one was made my me :)
There is room on each page to add your own pictures and journaling...
This next mini album was also made by me and it was a kit that I found at the scrapbook expo that I put together...it has a bunch of fun pull out tags that are in pocket pages! Very fun and bright album!
This next album was also from a kit. This one I found at Tuesday Morning...they have TONS of great deals on scrapbook supplies...I can never resist. This one isn't really my style, but sometimes you have to do things that are outside of your own box.
There are a lot of interesting tidbits and surprises on each page inside!
This next beautiful album was made by my talented neighbor Tamara. It is another chip board mini album. She used a lot of fun supplies on hers...flowers, tags, buttons, bling, cricut cartridge cut-outs and lots of other fun stuff! There is room for photos and journaling on every page.
The last thing I wanted to share that is going into the craft show box is something that I came up with to use up all those small scraps of paper that are piling up in our scrap rooms! They are small notebooks that can be used for anything...lists, notes, a mini album, whatever you want. They each have 25 random papers in them, all taken from previous projects that had left over paper. The fronts and backs are made with recycled card board pieces like a cereal box, for firmness and covered with more scraps of paper. They are bound together with my new favorite toy, the "Bind it All"...what do you think? We hope to make a ton of these and sell them for cheap...either $1 or $2.

Easter Eggs?
For Easter this year, I wanted to send my sister and brother-in-law a unique gift....
So....
I decorated the outside of an egg container...
And when they opened it up, this is what kind of "eggs" were in there:
Baby socks, hats and washcloths!! They are expecting their first baby in November!! I had done something very similar with my older sister the first time she was expecting and had fun doing it again!

Colin's Shark Cake!
The idea is not original, but I really surprised myself by my ability to follow directions and make a similar cake and everyone loved how it turned out! I got the idea from Parenting.com but here is my version!
I started with a Sarah Lee pound cake and cut an angle off one side and used it to prop up the shape of the shark:
Stuck a square of graham cracker in to make the fin:
I made grey frosting using a small amount of black food coloring...Used part of a fruit roll up for the mouth and marshmallows for the teeth. M & Ms for the eyes.
I made blue frosting for the waves. It was tough frosting underneath the shark, but i eventually got it and then used the back of a spoon to create "waves". And there you have my shark!
My brother-in-law (jokingly) said the shark isn't anatomically correct, however I doubt any of Colin's 3 year old friends noticed :)
I tried to make the insides of the cupcake swirly like the ocean, but I don't even know if anyone noticed, it was very subtle and it ended up looking more green than blue, but it was a fun experiment!
I put blue frosting in first, put a blog of green, then a blog of white...
Then I used a toothpick to swirl the colors around:
I used colored gold fish on top with blue frosting...Here are the boys enjoying a cupcake before the party!
And the final product:
PS. I have to thank my husband for putting all the gold fish on and Colin for "helping" me put the teeth on (aka: eating marshmallows galore!)

March calendar pages
A few more cards
Here are some more cards I have been working on! Needing a bunch to send to Juan while he is gone...
These all were in a Basic Grey kit that I found at Big Lots for $5! I love how they turned out!!
These were also from a Basic Grey kit, but from the Scrapbook store and involved a little bit more work...they were fun to make though!
From the March Basic Grey Card Kit:
PS. see Colin in the background? And his little toes? Well, that first pic was a challenge to get b/c he kept knocking the cards down...That little stinker!

The retreat!
I can't believe it has taken me 2 months to get to post about my scrapbooking retreat, but i finally have a *little bit* of down time. Might as well get these pics up!!
The retreat was at Camp Crop a Lot in Americus Georgia. My mom got invited by one of her old co-workers and I got invited along as well. It was awesome! The house looked like a barn and the upstairs had 3 bedrooms that each slept 4 people and then the downstairs was a cropper's dream! It had space for 12 people to crop, a computer, 2 cricuts with a million cartridges, all the die cuts you could imagine, stamps, idea books, magazines, tools...whatever you could need, they had. They also had a small store to buy paper or stickers or glue or whatever if you ran out. There was a kitchen downstairs as well and a MASSAGE ROOM! a masseuse came on Sat and a bunch of people were able to get massages!!
We were there thur night, all day friday, all day saturday and had to go home sunday. It was great! The ladies organizing it had games and activities planned and give-aways galore and prizes and just kept everything fun! There was an auction with fake money which was hilarious!
The best part was I think I did about 33 or 34 pages! Here they all...some aren't the best ever, but at least they are done! And I got addicted to the cricut, and now I own my own!!
Here they are all out of order...some are for Brandon's book, some for Colin's, some for the family album and some for the Disney album and some for my ME album! Sorry for the bad pics...anyone got any good tips on how to take better pics?
This one took me a long time to do b/c of having to glue each individual letter down. Check out my fireplace that I made using the cricut! I was so happy with how it turned out!!
Colin being silly at the disney parade:
From brandon's birthday party...sorry about the glare...
I need to figure out what font I used in this one and get that cartridge, I loved it!
Made the Mickey and Minnie on the cricut! Very detailed, so it took me a long time, but I like it!
Next time, when I don't have as many pages to post at one time, I'll try to get better pics and some close up pics where you can see more of the details. Enjoy!
